What led me to interior design is not your normal story but an authentic and organic one. Prior to designing, I spent years styling wardrobes for high-profile clients and was a buyer for numerous companies. Through this I learned one of life’s most important lessons: listen first.
My super-power is to define someone by analyzing their current surroundings (what they put on their body, how they present themselves, how they style their home) to ensure what they are putting out into the world is an accurate representation of themselves. This rings true with clothing and how you outfit your home.
With a background in apparel, I’ve always had an eye for color and texture. Combine that with a love of architecture, design, and all things in between; everything else just fell into place.
My professional teaching is with a school I feel deeply for, the Interior Design Institute, because their program gave me the fundamental knowledge that sewed the perfect seam between my heart’s calling and the experience I had already gained.
My philosophy is simple. Design is about feeling.
We all choose to live somewhere so why not make that a reflection of you, where everything feels right and just so happens to look right too (cue the designer). Lives are busy and your home should be somewhere your eyes and soul can rest. Where you can look around and know that you belong.
